Easy Pickled Onion
Easy Recipe for Pickled Onions that can be ready in under an hour
- 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 1/4 cup White Distilled Vinegar
- 1 Organic Onion peeled and thinly sliced (1/8 " slices)
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 generous pinch of salt
Peel and slice organic red onion. Thinner slices will absorb vinegar more quickly.
Add both vinegars, sugar and salt into small saucepan on stove and bring to a simmer. Continute to simmer until sugar and salt is dissolved.
Remove from stove and let cool
Add liquid and onions to a bowl or jar and cover.
Place onions in fridge and store up to 2 weeks in fridge.
Onions will be ready in about an hour but taste and texture will improve over time as onions absorb all the liquid.
