Easy Pickled Onion

Easy Recipe for Pickled Onions that can be ready in under an hour

  • small sauce pan for stove


  • 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup White Distilled Vinegar
  • 1 Organic Onion peeled and thinly sliced (1/8 " slices)
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 generous pinch of salt


  • Peel and slice organic red onion. Thinner slices will absorb vinegar more quickly.
  • Add both vinegars, sugar and salt into small saucepan on stove and bring to a simmer. Continute to simmer until sugar and salt is dissolved.
  • Remove from stove and let cool
  • Add liquid and onions to a bowl or jar and cover.
  • Place onions in fridge and store up to 2 weeks in fridge.
  • Onions will be ready in about an hour but taste and texture will improve over time as onions absorb all the liquid.
