Easy Healthy Tuna Salad
- 1 5 oz can of wild caught Skipjack tuna with sea salt
- 1/4 cup avocado oil mayo (or to taste)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped organic sweet onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1/4 tsp celtic sea salt
- 1/4 tsp mesh pepper
- 1 microgreens, lettuce, or fresh herbs for garnish
- Drain the liquid from the tuna can. Then, add the tuna, mayonnaise, diced celery, diced onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, celery seed to bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Serve on bread, english muffin, wraps, or crackers. Garnish with microgreens, fresh herbs, or lettuce.
I used Bagel Thins and microgreens to complete this sandwich! I get my microgreens from a local farm that grows them right near where I live! If you are local to me here in Cleveland, Ohio….the farm is Lakeshore Microgreens…they deliver !!! If you haven’t tried microgreens, I highly suggest you give them a try! You can get them at local grocery store, local farmers, or even grow them yourself! Once you try microgreens, you will never go back!! I know what your thinking. First of all….what is ‘mesh’ pepper. I had to google it myself the first time I made a recipe that called for it. The US MESH size is a standard unit of measure. This unit of measure determines the number of holes that exist is a standard US Sieve. The larger the mesh number, the finer the pepper becomes. This 16 MESH pepper has been my favorite!!
