The crispiest Smashed Potatoes !! Air fryer smashed potatoes are perfect for all occasions! Perfect for serving as a side dish or an appetizer. These Air Fryer Smashed Potatoes are easy to make and can be made with little golden potatoes. This is a great vegetarian appetizer option! I pair them with a super easy to make Horsey Sauce but would be great with ketchup too!

What you need to make these Air Fryer Smashed Potatoes
Baby Potatoes
Garlic Powder
Celtic Sea Salt
Pepper
Avocado Oil Spray


How to make these Air Fryer Smashed Potatoes
- Wash potatoes by scrubbing clean. Place in a pot of cold water. Use as many potatoes as you need or that will fit in your air fryer once smashed. If necessary you can air fry in batches.
- Bring the water to a boil. Boil potatoes until for tender. This should take about 10-15 minutes.
- Pre-heat your Air Fryer to 400 degrees.
- Drain the potatoes once they are fork tender. Place them on a cutting board or sheet tray lined with parchment paper. You can try using a fork to smash the potatoes. I actually cut a little square of parchment paper and put on my oven-glove and used my hand the smash the potatoes with the little square of parchment paper. However you do it…smash those tatos!
- Once potatoes are smashed, spritz them with avocado oil. Sprinkle them with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Air Fry for 8-12 minutes depending on how crispy you want your potatoes.
- You can garnish with Parsley or Chives if you want to ! Horsey Sauce is equal parts mayo, sour cream, and horseradish !
