These Air Fried Dill Pickle Spears are tangy, crunch, sweet and delicious! I paired them with a 2 ingredient quick spicy ranch that is absolutely delicious. The air fryer is quickly becoming one of my favorite new kitchen tools. If you are obsessed with all things pickle like I am, then you must try this recipe. It cooks up in under 10 minutes with less than 5 minutes of prep! Football season is around the corner, and these will for sure be on the game day snack list! Air Fried Dill Pickle Spears are a must!
What I used to make these Air Fried Dill Pickle Spears
- 4 Dill Pickle Spears
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs (I used these gluten-free ones)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- salt to taste if desired (i didn’t use salt, but if you like salty and sweet try it!)
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1/4 cup siracha or hot sauce
- Avocado oil spray

How to make these Air Fried Dill Pickle Spears
- Pre-heat air fryer to 390 degrees .
- Pat the pickle spears dry with paper towels, so that all of the coating sticks better to them.
- Mix 1/4 cup mayo and 1/4 siracha together for a spicy dipping sauce!
- You will need 3 shallow bowls or plates to set up your dredge station. I used paper bowls for easy clean up.
- Add the flour to the 1st bowl.
- Add whipped egg and 1/4 cup milk to 2nd bowl.
- Add panko bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and salt if desired to the 3rd bowl and mix.
- One at a time, toss pickle spear in flour, then egg, and then finally panko mixture.
- Spray rack of air fryer with avocado oil along with a very small spray on either side of pickles to make them extra crispy. This is not required, but will make the panko get super crispy!
- Place pickles in a single layer in the air-fryer basket! Cook at 390 degrees for 9-11 minutes, flipping half way through.
- Every air fryer cooks a little differently. I have a Cosori XL Air Fryer and 11 minutes with a flip half way through was perfect !
