5 Easy Snacks That Include Vegetables!
We all need to have more snacks that include vegetables. I am going to give you a list of 5 easy snacks that include vegetables and are easy to make! These snacks take under 5 minutes to make! All these yummy veggie snacks can be taken on-the-go, if needed!
1. Carrots and Hummus – snacks that includes vegetables

This may look like your ordinary, every day Carrot and Hummus snack that you might see your fellow office mates having around lunch time…however this is no ordinary hummus! We are all looking to have more snacks that are include vegetables, but we need to make sure we are doing it the right way!
Cava Original Hummus is one of the healthiest store-bought containers of hummus you can find. Most of the hummus that you see on store shelves, is filled with unhealthy, heart-clogging, bad-for-you oils! This hummus contains no oil at all, which makes it even better! If you are buying store bought hummus to include as part as your healthy snack rotation, make sure it uses heart healthy olive or avocado oil and not cheap, artery clogging oils!
Also, do not use baby carrots if possible! In a pinch if it is all you can to do to make sure you are having vegetables in your snack…then ok. If possible peel and cut fresh organic carrots! Read here what I found about baby carrots, and you might rethink their convenience.
2. Tomato and Peppers with Guacamole as a healthy treat

This is a super easy vegetable snack, that you can take with you! Cut your organic bell peppers up at the beginning of the week and portion into baggies! Add tomatoes to a separate bag to avoid moisture from the peppers! I used Organic Sunset Flavor Bomb Cherry Tomatoes that I found at Costco! Make sure to get organic tomatoes, because they are on the dirty dozen list!! Don’t know what the dirty dozen list is? Check it out here!
These guac cups are a lifesaver!! I typically get them at Coscto or Whole Foods! Depending on your location, Whole Foods will deliver (free of charge), groceries right to your door step! There is no additional charge, you just have to place a $35.00 minimum order, which doesn’t take much at Whole Foods. I will say, in my opinion, Whole Foods produce is totally worth the cost. I have shopped at every grocery store around, and they are in my top 3, for consistent, quality, long lasting produce.

3. Celery and Peanut Butter – snacks that include vegetables
First of all, if you haven’t tried Kirkland Organic Creamy Natural Peanut Butter, you haven’t been living!! I eat this every single day, in a multitude of ways!! This creamy, delicious, long lasting , all natural peanut butter, allows me to have vegetables as my snack, almost every day of the week!
If you are not going to take my advice and get the Kirkland peanut butter, then make sure you are choosing your peanut butter wisely! A lot of your common peanut butters contain added sugar and hyrdrogenated oils. Yuck!! Hydrogenated oils add oxygen to foods, and help make them more spreadable. Hydrogenated oils are considered a trans-fat and can cause inflammation as well as an increase in cholesterol.
Look for peanut butters that contain 1 or 2 ingredients, including peanuts…(of course) and maybe salt! A little tip, for those that complain that the ‘natural’ peanut butters are a pain and dislike the oil separation that occurs….flip the bottle upside down! Flipping the bottle up side down helps prevent oil separation! Better yet, if you are really ambitious, you can make your own peanut butter!
4. Beet Chips and Salsa as a on-the-go vegetable snack
If you haven’t tried beet chips, you are missing out!! Forget the old day of your tortilla chips and salsa..! Yes salsa is a vegetable, so technically you were having a veggie if you were having chips and salsa! But why not maximize your opportunity to get more nutrient building, fiber-dense veggies that will fill you up and leave you satisfied!
This is a super easy snack to make. You can easily take with your to work, or whenever you are on the go! If you click my link here for the Rhythm Beet Chips, you can get them in snack size bags! Makes it even easier for taking them on the go!
I use Whole Foods 365 Mango Salsa and use these amazing little portion cups to take it on the go!!! It really is such an enjoyable way to get in all your hardy vegetables! You will feel full and nourished when you are done snacking!
5. Cucumber salad with oil and vinegar

This is one of the easiest snacks to make! And it looks pretty too! You must, must, must get the spiralizer I have! Read all about it here! It is one of my favorite kitchen tools!
I spiralize 1 English cucumber for this salad and then add a dash of avocado oil and a dash of vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste! I also add a few slivers of onion! This is delicious, and there are lots of ways to change it up. You could add Italian Seasoning and Red Chili Flakes.
